MENG is the Official Marketing Partner of the 2010 Edison Best New Product AwardsTM
MENG is delighted to announce the second year of its partnership with the Edison Best New Product Awards™, an innovation award which has recognized breakthrough products and services in the U.S. since 1987.
This dynamic partnership allows MENG members to nominate ground-breaking new products and services in 10 categories for recognition at the Edison Awards™ gala dinner each year in the spring. In addition to making nominations in each category, a team of MENG members will be evaluating the entries for consideration by the Edison Awards Steering Committee, and every MENG member will have an opportunity to vote on the finalists.
History of the Awards
The Edison Awards™ were established over 20 years ago by none other than our friends over at the American Marketing Association, who rightly observed that America should recognize excellence in product innovation as well as the forging of new markets.
For 12 years, the Edison Best New Product AwardsTM were recognized as a gold standard by Madison Avenue and beyond, garnering press from the New York Times, The Financial Times, CNN, and People Magazine among others. In 1999, the Awards were put on hold due to political shifts at the AMA.
With the release of a new book by one of our own MENG members, Sarah Miller Caldicott – a great grandniece of Thomas Edison and 25-year marketing veteran – a decision was made to reinstate the Edison Best New Product AwardsTM.
The MENG Board is honored to work with Sarah’s team and the Edison Awards™ Steering Committee to create an exciting way for every MENG member to be part of reigniting innovation excellence in America. Our partnership demonstrates our support in driving innovation competitiveness for our nation.
