Not all interaction is local; MENG member share many common interests, including industry ties and areas of expertise.
That's why MENG created Special Interest Groups. SIGs provide an opportunity for MENG members to
SIGs are led by a chairperson, a member who believes in the importance of the Special Interest and has volunteered their time and leadership. SIGs are free to manage their group and meet as they see fit--some hold regular teleconferences and some even stage occasional regional get togethers. Each SIG has their own web page, email discussion list, and event calendar.
All MENG members may join and participate in any SIG. In fact, many members are involved in multiple groups. And anyone may create a new Special Interest Group. All that's required of a member wishing to start a SIG is a demonstration of sufficient interest and the willingness to lead or recruit a chairperson.
MENG Members are encouraged to become involved in SIGs to share relevant information, request assistance, and enhance their skills and those of their colleagues.
