Marc Engelsman - Member at Large

Marc Engelsman is VP, Client Programs and Services for Digital Brand Expressions, a top-tier search marketing firm serving Fortune 1000 and middle-market companies who recognize they can cost-effectively grow their business if their products and services are more easily found on the web.  Marc joined MENG in 2006 and his Central New Jersey base has allowed him to participate in numerous New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia MENG Chapter meetings and events as well as the occasional Online SIG meet-ups.  His appreciation and commitment to MENG’s peer-to-peer values is further evidenced through his volunteering as a Steering Committee member helping revitalize the Philadelphia Chapter.  He is also pleased to have recently sponsored his first new MENG member.

Marc came to Digital Brand Expressions with over 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising, much of it spent at New York City-based agencies where he directed a range of business-to-business and consumer accounts.  This diverse multi-disciplinary marketing background quickly translated to search marketing success as he has led DBE’s clients in the integration of the their offline and online strategies with search engine optimization, paid search, reputation management and/or social media tactics.

Marc is an active member of the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO) – serving on its Marketing and Research committees, acting as an “ambassador” at industry events and was also one of the participants in SEMPO NY’s Great Debate on handling search in-house or through agencies.  Marc spoke at the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) conference last October and was invited back to speak at SMX in February but is instead addressing the Casual Gaming Association’s conference in Hamburg, Germany on “Creative Emarketing Solutions During An Economic Downturn.”  Marc was also recently a featured speaker at a joint event for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Marketing Association and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals.    He has taught marketing communications classes and is frequently a guest lecturer.

Finally, in addition to participating online as a MENG Judge of the 2009 Edison Best New Products Awards, Marc was invited to judge the 2009 Effie Awards (for marketing effectiveness) by the New York American Marketing Association.
