At the Valen Group, a strategy consulting firm, she has worked with many clients to develop brand strategies that drive innovation and growth. Prior to joining The Valen Group, Janna’s work encompassed brand building strategies for well-known consumer products companies. She led the strategy and execution of a successful global brand extension initiative for Jack Daniel’s and Southern Comfort brands, focusing her efforts in the US, Europe and Australia. She was Sr. Director for T.G.I. Friday’s where she successfully launched a strategic retail food program that included extensive consumer and food industry research resulting in a $250 million retail business. Earlier in her career she developed and executed a brand extension plan for the children’s entertainment property, Barney the Dinosaur, as Director of Licensing for Lyrick Studios (now HIT Entertainment).
