Elliot Rossen

Elliot Rossen is a consumer products marketing specialist with over 20 years of “hands-on” experience in a broad range of industries.  He received his classical marketing training at Quaker Oats where he helped revitalized large, mature brands such as Gravy Train dog food and Van Camps Pork and Beans.

He leveraged this broad foundation into smaller, more entrepreneurial companies where he continued his brand-building success.  Prior to migrating into consulting, he was Vice President of Marketing at Aero Products (maker of the “world-famous” AeroBed), where he built brand awareness to 50% and increased sales by 60% through innovative new products, a unique ”hybrid” advertising program, and category-leading promotions, packaging, and merchandising.

He currently works with The Arbor Strategy Group (ASG), a strategic brand innovation consulting firm, helping companies FIND high-potential marketplace opportunities and then FILL those gaps with innovative solutions, whether new products, new business models, new marketing strategies, or mergers and acquisition.  Its NewProductWorks Innovation Center includes a collection of nearly 100,000 consumer product samples collected over the last 40 years and covering over 200 categories from dozens of countries.  From this collection, ASG has developed rich insights into how innovation evolves within categories enabling it to more accurately predict future innovation paths for its clients.

He has spoken at trade conferences on the subject of Blending Brand and Direct Response Advertising and has been a guest lecturer at University of Chicago’s Graham School.

In addition to being a Mentor in Menttium 100, a cross-company executive development program for high-potential, mid-level women in business, he is president of the North Shore Youth Sailing Coalition, a non-profit organization aligned to bring access to sailing and lake front resources to youth of all means in Chicago’s north suburban communities.

He received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
